Marcus Rashford, Manchester United and England Forward, does not want to waste his difficult childhood experiences. He grew up receiving free meals in school as his mother worked full day and there was no one to provide for his meals during the day. With the closure of school recently, Rashford knew that the kids who received free meals from school would not have food during the day. He joined in to help raise funds for these kids who would otherwise go hungry. Together, Manchester United and Manchester city has raised 100,000 pounds for this program. Rashford also volunteers in judging poetry competitions for hearing impaired children. He says: “In our generation there have been a lot of positive and negative influences. I am just trying to impact the next generation in a positive way.”
