But not too long ago, our queen of self-love poured out her heart about her struggle with depression. And fans showered her with all the love that she deserved. Here’s what she shared.
What it’s like to live with depression
“I’m depressed and there’s no one I can talk to because there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Life hurts.”
“I self-love so hard because everything feels like rejection… it feel like the whole world be ghostin me sometimes. Sad af today. But this too shall pass. S/O all the messages of love. Thank you.”
Why you need to get help.
“I learned in the last 24hrs that being emotionally honest can save your life. Reaching out may be hard but as soon as I did it, I was immediately covered in love. I used to think of sadness as a constant with fleeting moments of joy in between… but it’s a wave 🌊joy🌊sadness🌊joy🌊sadness🌊 and my sadness can be as temporary as my joy,” she wrote in the caption.
Self acceptance is self love
“I remember one day being like, ‘This is it.’ Twenty-some-odd years of me believing that one day I’d wake up and be some other girl. You’re going to look this way for the rest of your life. And you have to be okay with that.”
“I started talking to my belly this year. Blowing her kisses and showering her with praises. I used to want to cut my stomach off. I hated it so much, but it’s literally ME. I am learning to radically love every part of myself. Even if it means talking to myself every morning.”
“This is your sign to love on yourself today! ❤️“
