‘Midnight’, Taylor Swifts latest album sold one million copies in the first week, broke Spotify’s records in having the most streams in a day and stayed as the top 10 song on apple music. Rolling Stones magazine gave it a 5-star review and considers it an instant classic.
While we are hardly surprised with that success, Taylor Swift has come a long way and fought many battles to stay at the top of a brutal entertainment scene. Throughout all her down days, with rumours about her love-life, misunderstanding with other celebrities, fighting to get her music back, the album Midnight is a culmination of all that experience.
At 19, Taylor’s MV ‘Love Story’ had a happy ending with her marrying her prince. Fast forward to her latest MV ‘Bejewelled’, Taylor’s love story has a different happy ending. In her interview with ETonline she shared what she would say to her younger self.
“When things get hard, focus on how much I love music. The two things that have protected me over the years is enthusiasm and how much I love music. When you do fail, enthusiasm tell you that the next good thing is round the corner. Love for music reminds you what you are doing it for and that’s hard to take away.”
