Debuting in the middle of the pandemic, STAYC members felt the pressure to succeed despite the odds against them.
To alleviate these pressures, the girls focused on the overall messaging in their albums – happiness and positivity. They started to enjoy their own music and creation, and focused on improving and taking care of themselves first. Sometimes the way out of a slump is to start doing the right things even when your mind tells you otherwise.

“I hope they can smile and feel refreshed after looking at us in their tiring daily routines.” – Yonhap
They shared that in order to be their “best selves” they focused on loving themselves. The girls shared during an interview with Elle:
Sumin: “I’ve learned to love myself more.”
Isa: “I’m learning to be more confident in different areas. I’m also learning to love myself more—in the same way that my fans love me.”
Seeun: “Realizing that there [are] people who love me has inspired me to recognize my value more. As I interact more with SWITH, I also realize how I have a lot of love to give!”

STAYC reminds us that self-love and a growth mindset are important. And enjoying what you do is equally important as well!
The members also singled out their all time favourite lyric from their new song “Teddy Bear”:
“Every one of us lives life for the first time”
Sunmin explained: “Everybody can make mistakes and grow and learn through them. There is no right answer (to live life)”.
