At the height of our youth, we try to do everything we can. We try to maintain a social life, achieve our dreams, and keep up with school work. However, we can often overlook the little things and important people around us in the midst of our busy schedules.
Kep1ler, a multinational K-pop girl group, shares what keeps them going after a long day, how to be kind to others when putting oneself first, while achieving their goals.

Keeping positivity alive
Having their debut delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and not being able to perform for fans, did not dishearten the group. The girls of Kep1ler shared that they saw these setbacks as opportunities to grow.
“It really helped us prepare for our debut. We spent self-quarantine practising and improving our skills for our then-upcoming debut,” reflected Dayeon.
Yujin also shared that she does dwell on the could-have-beens, but focuses on how to make the best out of the present moment.
The girls spent time working on their skills and coordination in preparation for future live shows. This teaches us that road-block or set-backs can be turned to good so long as we learn to create opportunities for ourselves.

Working on differences
The girls shared that communication and looking out for each other were very important in making a ‘dream team’.
“We’re very considerate of what we say and we try to respect each member. We always talk things through,” shared Youngeun.
Amidst their busy schedules, Kep1ler reminds us that it does not have to be an ‘every man for himself’ kind of world. In fact they show us that, despite coming from different backgrounds, caring for others truly goes a long way.

As things are shifting to a (new) ‘normal’, we may find ourselves planning back-to-back activities to make up for lost time or lost opportunities. But instead of always chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, Kep1ler reminds us to appreciate the colours of the rainbow along the way.
Whether that is taking a day off from work, or doing something you like, here are some links to keep that positive attitude:
