With their debut occuring in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, IVE’s dream to perform live for fans was halted before it even began.

Such unfortunate circumstance so early in their debut must have forged the determination and positivity that is demonstrated throughout their songs.

The name IVE is an abbreviation of the phrase “I have”, which as shared by the members, come from a place of confidence.
Gaeul: “In our new songs, we hope that our listeners realize they should have confidence, and practice self-love.”
Wonyoung: ” We hope that those who watch the music video won’t be discouraged by the ups and downs of everyday life… It’s about our own attitude that you can do anything.”

Understanding confidence
There are many ways to build up self-confidence. It can be from consistently doing your best, monitoring your progress, or even just showing up and being accountable for your work.
Sometimes receiving critique and feedback from people who are important to us or people in authority can cause us to lose self-confidence.
However, being aware of these negative perceptions and reframing your thoughts to something more positive can help boost your confidence level.
Growth mindset
Having confidence is not about never failing. In fact, it’s about failing and then learning from it.
Even when undesirable situations happen, like the inability to perform live, IVE reminds us that keeping a good attitude could make the journey a lot easier!
