Kpop boy-band Day6 has returned with their 8th mini album, “Fourever,” following a three-year break.

During the group’s three-year hiatus, all four members completed their military service. They shared in an interview with The Korea Herald some life lessons during their time in the military.

Embrace the present moment

Dowoon: “I came to think that I should live without any regrets and do everything I want to do without causing harm to others,” he said. “I feel much happier than before.

Regret is as a feeling of disappointment or remorse over past actions or choices, often accompanied by a wish for things to have been different. Sometimes this feeling could be caused by actions or non-actions on our part that could give rise to guilt or shame.

While reflecting on our past, there is a distinction between learning from our experiences and dwelling on what could have been. While we may never know what the other outcome could have been, regret will only rob us away from all the good things that are happening in our lives!

Embrace self-reflection

Sungjin: “When I was a trainee, I thought the band would be successful upon our debut. I realised that wasn’t the case, and then I changed my mind to make music slowly and steadily,”

Instead of dwelling on what has happened, use self-reflection to assess your past decisions and thoughts objectively. Understand the circumstances, motivations, and limitations that influenced your choices back then.

Remember, the journey of life is not about erasing regrets alone but embracing where you are right now and living happily
