In a country as advanced as the United states, as much as 80% of people report that they are not flourishing in life. Many people feel stuck in the rut, wanting more out of life and languishing. Psychological well-being is no longer considered an absence of mental disorder but rather a presence of positive psychological affect including life satisfaction, self-acceptance, positive relations and purpose in life. Positive psychology has been researched to show that it can help languishing individuals to enhance their life and find greater fulfillment.
