Shadee.Care is a Singapore registered youth charity featuring everything that’s trending and that matters to youths. We aim to bring about social, emotional wellness and resilience, as well as early mental-health intervention to youth’s online and in community spaces.

We are growing our team! We need people with a heart for Gen Z’s and Millenniels and who understand the importance of mind-care for total health.

If you’ve read our articles and feel that you want to do something more to improve mental wellness for the youths in our society, join us as a Youth Care Associate or Social Media Creator and Coordinator. Positions are open to Singapore residents only.

 

Youth Care Associate

Job Highlights

  • Work in a trailblazing and progressive organisation
  • Work on trendy and exciting youth outreach campaigns, projects and events.
  • Work remotely and at various youth spaces.
  • Contribute to the well-being of young people by befriending and mentoring them
  • Part-time or project basis with the possibility of leading to full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage, interact with and mentor youths online and in-person
  • Conceptualise, plan and conduct community out-reach activities to create awareness on mental-wellness and promote early help seeking.
  • Develop and conduct enrichment workshops for social emotional learning.
  • Facilitate group sessions online and off-line, mentor, counsel and manage group dynamics to achieve the stated objectives.
  • Identify and assess psycho-social health status for escalation.
  • Work with other mental-health personals in providing interventions to individuals where necessary.
  • Grow community engagement by working with Institutions of learning, youth organisations, partners and stakeholders.
  • Documentation, report writing and program evaluation

Personnel Requirement

  • Enjoy working with youths and familiar with the latest Gen Z, Millennial trends.
  • Independent, responsible and self-motivated while able to work in a team.
  • Outgoing personality with strong inter-personal and communication skills, preferably familiar with online youth lingo.
  • Knowledge and experience in mentoring or counselling youths.
  • Savvy with social media, online communication and IT. Have your own laptop and mobile phone.
  • Creative and adventurous. Able to conceptualise and conduct novel activities that trends with Gen Z’s and Millennials
  • Able to liase and coordinate with leaders of partnering organisations and Institutions
  • Able to work on weeknights and weekends where required

Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma level in counselling, youth related studies or any relevant field of study.
  • Experience in working with teenagers or young adults either as a volunteer, placement or job.

Part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week.

Social Media Creator and Coordinator

Job Highlights

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new content, write articles, videos, gifs, etc
  • Plan social media schedule, write post captions and edit articles
  • Measure and analyse performance of social media algorithms
  • Create evolving social media best practices to engage Gen Z’s and Millennials
  • Work on outreach campaigns

Personnel Requirement

  • Experience and knowledge in promoting on social media, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Twitter, Youtube etc
  • Experience and knowledge of WordPress, Canva, Adobe software and other media creation tools.
  • Good in writing, video and gif creation.
  • Knowledge in mental-health, psychology or counselling
  • Up to date with ongoing Gen Z and Millennial trends
  • Familiar with fandoms, movies, Kpop, Billboard, gaming, anime and everything that trends with youths.
  • Have personal laptop and able to work remotely
  • Good inter-personal skills, team player and able to work on projects.
  • Disciplined, independent and able to meet datelines.

Part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week.
